Hello Aspirant,

YES of course you can apply for AFCAT examination.

Each year, in February and August, the test is conducted to select Class-I Officers for Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical). Candidates can apply for the AFCAT whether they are male or female.

Through the AFCAT exam candidates are recruited in the Indian Air Force for the following branches-

  • Flying Branch
  • Ground Duty Technical Branch
  • Ground Duty Non-Technical Branch

Educational Qualification for AFCAT

AFCAT Flying Branch The AFCAT flying branch eligibility has a minimum and maximum age requirement that applies to both male and female candidates.

  • Minimum Age- 20 years
  • Maximum Age – 24 years
AFCAT Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) The minimum and maximum age requirements for ground duty are different from those for the flying branch. Both AFCAT non-technical and technical eligibility fall within the age range listed below.

  • Minimum Age- 20 years
