Diploma graduates can get admission to 2 year B.E/B.Tech after completing 3 year Diploma in Engineering through lateral entry admission. The admission to 2 year year B.E/B.Tech is either through merit in the entrance examination or marks scored in Diploma in Engineering, it depends on the college in which you are seeking admission. In few states state level entrance exam will be conducted for admission to B.E/B.Tech through lateral entry like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh etc. while in few states the admission is based on merit in Diploma.
