IT Depends on your intrest , Both are amazing careers to choose and both require equal creativity and concious about fashion. if you are more persuadded by your own self for sketching or creating new design and if you have more artistic approach and passion for putting your artistic approach into a new design of your own then go ahead for fashion designing. but if you are more choosy and visually conscious and more detailed obsevant in new trends and one who would like to keep up with current trends and have a strong passion in making a style of your own vision and forecast it, go with fashion stylling. For either , you can first pursue your degree in fashion designing and then pursue a short term training on textile designing. Or you might as well go for diploma in FD and Apparel Merchandising or certificate course in garment Merchandising. You can as well do bachelors in textile designing or diploma in garmetn design. If you Pursue Bdes in FD and then take up short term training or diploma in Garment designing or apparel merchandise, you can become either Fashion designer or Fashion stylist based on your interest, by the end of your bachelors. Also , the pay for Fashion designer is slightly higher than fashion stylist in India , On a normal basis, But if you get into top industries , Pay scales are larger.

A fashion stylist is someone who selects clothing and accessories for a fashion advertisement or editorial. There are many different types of potential clients for a stylist. For example, a celebrity may hire a stylist to dress them for a red carpet event or for their private life. The job description varies widely as some stylists work on exclusive projects like music videos, acting as a costume designer to create one-of-a-kind looks for the star.
