Hello Keshav,

CSAB conducts counselling and admission of JEE Main qualified candidates to the institutes that fall under the category of NEUT (North Eastern States and Union Territories), SFTI (Self Financed Technical Institute) and UT (Supernumerary Seats for Union Territories). Other than these, CSAB will also conduct a Special Round counselling for the admission of JEE Mains qualified candidates to NITs,GFITs and IIITs.

Since you have a domicile of Maharashtra, you can apply for CSAB SFTI counselling and CSAB Special Round. You have to first see the eligibility criteria of SFTI and Special Round and on the basis of that you have to register to CSAB. CSAB counselling will start after the end of JoSAA counselling. Below I have provided the eligibility criteria for both SFTI & Special Round -

CSAB SFTI Eligibility Criteria :

  • Candidates should have qualified JEE Main paper 1.
  • Candidates should have passed their class XII qualifying exam will aggregate of 45% marks(for general category) or 40% marks (for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD category).
  • Candidates must have qualifying marks in their respective class XII boards in each of the following subjects - Physics, Mathematics and any one of these subjects (Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology or Technical vocational subject) , any one language subject, and any other subject.

CSAB Special Round Eligibility Criteria :

  • Candidates should have valid JEE Main 2019 rank and should also meet the JoSAA eligibility criteria.
  • The candidates who haven't registered or participated in in JoSAA 2019 will also be eligible to apply for the special round.
  • Candidates who have failed to get a seat in JoSAA after participation will also ve eligible for CSAB special round.
  • Candidatrs who had gotten seats in JoSAA but failed to report to the allotted institute or have withdrawn their participation from counselling can also apply for special round.
  • Those candidates who didn't opted for Special round after JoSAA will not be eligible to participate in CSAB Special round.
