Hi Akshay,

You can definitely take admission into MSc. Physics as an Electrical Engineering graduate. It all boils down to your interest. Here are a few entrance exams you can think of giving for an admission into M Sc. Physics course in India are:

1) IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test for M Sc.)- It is an entrance exam for programmes at IITs and Integrated Ph D degree programmes at IISc. Courses offered are MSc (4 semesters), Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD, Dual Degrees etc.

2) JEST entrance exam- to get an entry to top government funded insituties like IUCAA, TIFR, HRI, IISc etc.

3)JRF- NET is also another entrance exam.

4) Many institutes conduct their own entrances exams; such as NEST for NISER, INAT is conducted by IUCAA and GS exam by TIFR etc.

5) MSc in IITs is also an option from GATE in Physics.

Hope this addresses.

Thankyou.
