The GATE syllabus for ECE is almost the same as the 3rd to 6th semester ECE syllabus. So candidates who have finished their engineering syllabus properly can easily crack the GATE examination. Gate for ECE consists of three sections - general aptitude, engineering mathematics and subject specific sections. From first year only some parts of Engineering Mathematics is very important like linear algebra calculus differential equations vector analysis Complex Analysis numerical methods and Probability and Statistics.
