It is totally depend upon you..... but according to my suggestion DY Patil college of Engineering and Technology is a good college if you are selected there so don't come back to Chennai ......if you are not sure that you will get admission in Chennai..but if there is chances to get admission in Chennai and  is better than DY Patil University College so you may try..... as you didn't mention here the college in which you want to get admission in Chennai so it is difficult to tell me that that cause is better than DY Patil college or not but you may wait for second round and then decide what you have to do.
