Yes, you can attend the NEET exam in Jammu & Kashmir even if you are from Kerala and your father is a soldier. NEET allows candidates to choose any exam centre across India, regardless of their state of domicile.

While filling the NEET 2026 application form, you can select Jammu (or any nearby city) as your preferred exam center.

Document required:

• Class 10- & 12-mark sheets (or admit card for those appearing)

• Photo ID proof (Aadhaar, Passport, or School ID)

• Passport-size photographs and signature (as per NTA guidelines)

• Defence certificate / Army ID of your father (if claiming defence quota)

• Domicile certificate (Kerala or as applicable for your quota claim)

You can appear for the NEET exam in J&K, but if you wish to apply for state quota seats, you’ll be eligible under Kerala’s state quota unless you hold J&K domicile. For All India Quota (15%), you can apply normally through NEET counselling.
