A migration certificate is generally required for admission to a college or university in Madhya Pradesh (MP) after finishing prior education from a different state, like Maharashtra. If you do not have the migration certificate by admission time, most universities will set a time for you to submit it (most institutions will give a time from a few weeks to a couple of months). At time of admission, you will likely fill out an undertaking or provision document.

With that said, it is important to apply for the migration certificate from your previous board/university as early as possible, since it can take some time to come through, and timely receipt is advisable for your eventual (final) enrollment as or issuance of your final degree.!
