With 40 marks in chemistry have you passed in both practical and theory?? I am considering that you have  passed in both.

Neet eligibility  criteria says that, to be eligible  one must have passed in English and in both the theory and practical  of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB ( in theory +practical) in 12th examination  if belong to general category , or   at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st

Now,

Your aggregate in PCB is

40+65+72

= 177

=(177/300*100 )%

= 59%  i.e more than 50% so irrespective of the category you belong to  you fulfil above aforesaid % requirement and thus you are eligible for neet examination
