In Tamilnadu there's NIT trichy for which cut off is high even under state quota

This difficult to predict  as closing rank keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like

----------) number of students/ candidates  that appeared in the  jee main exam,

-----------) jee main examination difficulty level.

-----------) branch preference by different candidates

-----------) the category you belong etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2021 for sc category  :-

------------------) National Institute of Technology Agartala :- chemistry (5 Years, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science (Dual Degree)):- 17842 obc rank

So, to get a seat in NITs, you need at least around 16k - 17k obc rank, and for that you need at least around 93+ percentile  as per past year trends

So, with 89 percentile you have low chances for NITs
