It would be difficult to get a seat in top and medium level Nit's . However you can try for other nit's as you you can get seat in core and other branches of some medium nit and other north - east and other nit which are also very good and do apply for your home state nit and government colleges of your home state as you can get it , because the cutoff of home state nit is very much lower than other nit's .

Your chances to get any NIT are very less .But you have some chances to get a seat based on your OBC category . For this , check the cut-off for respective NIT's and also see the previous year trends in cut-off.The link for cut-off is given below.

You can also try state level counsellings for states like Haryana , Punjab ,MP ,Uttarakhand ,Odisha etc .You have very higher chances to get a good branch in some good Govt. college .
