You need to go to the reporting centre first for document verification. There the people will verify your documents and ask you for yes upgradation or no upgradation. You need to tell them that you want to select yes upgradation. In this case you will participate in further rounds and if cutoff decreases you may get any choice above this. So what you need is to visit the reporting centre and ask for float option that is yes upgradation.
