Hi

With 43 marks in mechanical engineering it will be very difficult to get into PSUs. It is almost impossible. To get into PSU in mechanical branch a candidate needs to score a minimum of atleast 70 marks.

Now since you have got 43 marks, this marks are good enough for you to get into M. Tech. Many state run colleges and private run unversities accept GATE score. And since you are GATE qualified you have a added advantage. AICTE will provide you scholership of Rs 12400/- for 2 years while you are doing M. Tech.

With GATE score you can apply as JRF ( Junior research Fellow ) in IISc or IITs. They provide you with good stipend and lot of learning oppurtinites.
