Of course you can appear even if you are in first year of your BSc but just for experience, even if you qualify for the exam you won't be eligible to get admission in any institute since you can't complete your BSc in first or 2nd year. And my advice to you is that do appear in the exam for your experience specially when you are the first timer with online Examination.
