if you appeared in last year then you will appear in GATE exam if you appeared before that, that will not be considered. first of all in 3rd year, hoe you get your provisional certificate. HOD will not allow.
but anyway, your score would not consider.

As per the academic norms of Gate:-
Candidatesshould have completed their Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Master’s degree (M.Sc) in any relevant science subject or must be in the final year of the programme.
While applying for GATE 2019, there is no minimum pass percentage in the qualifying degree.
So you are not eligible at all.
