NDA examination is conducted twice every year for admission to 3 years training at the National Defence Academy Khadagwasla and on completion join defence forces as officer.

The exam is conducted in the month of April(NDA 1)and September(NDA 2). The application forms are out for NDA 1 in the first week of January and for NDA 2 in the month of June.
The exam consists of 2 papers: Mathematics (300 marks) and GS(600 marks). Those who clear the written exam are called for SSB interview. Recommended candidates of SSB undergo medicals.
Then a final merit list is released. Those who make it to the final list join the NDA for training.
