I am NRI and my son is studying in India from class 9th. Now he is in class 12th. Is he eligible for NRI option for engineering admission

Yeah definitely he is eligible for that , no doubt. Infact there are many private engineering institute which will intake the candidate's for their respective Course via their own entrance exam and if you wish to go through with the management quota in such cases you are requested to directly contact with the management of that particular University/College such that they will elaborate you about this.

Some more colleges are also there from above mentioned names the private colleges have management quota regarding iit and nit I am not sure

And I think your son is eligible for nri quota
