With a rank of 24,401 in the general category, it becomes difficult to secure a seat in the government IHM's when comparing the results of previous years. Last year, the closing ranks for central government IHM's were around 6,000 and the state government IHM's were around 13,000. But you can apply for any private institutes. Also, one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats.
