Arihant previous year question booklets are good and you can really do what you are planning to do, its good to solve practice papers with time limits and when you will self check you will get to know where you are making mistakes and hence improve your understanding. If you have access to mock tests please give those too as some times few good questions come and you can remember that for the final exams.
