"With 398 marks and an OBC background, you're Qualified but not shortlisted for a government veterinary college seat in Himachal.

However, with smart counselling strategy and flexibility for private colleges or other states-a veterinary seat is still very much within reach."

dear student,

With 398 marks in NEET 2025 as an OBC candidate from Himachal Pradesh , you fall within the expected cutoff range for government veterinary colleges, which is typically 380–430+ .
In past years, the cutoff for Dr. G.C. Negi College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Palampur —the main government vet college in HP—has been around 380–410 for OBC and other reserved categories. So, you have a fair chance of getting a seat under the state quota , especially in the later rounds of counselling .
Make sure to register and participate in all rounds to improve your chances.

good luck.

Yes, with NEET 2025, score of 398 and belonging to the OBC category from Himachal Pradesh, you have a good chance of getting admission into a government veterinary College, especially under the state quota. In Himachal Pradesh, admission to the BVSC and AH, bachelor of veterinary science and animal husbandry course is done true and government veterinary seats are filled under boat state Kota and all India Kota.

You have a chances of getting into Dr GC Negi College of veterinary and animal sciences, Palayur. As per the TS stands to that OBC candidates with the needs scores around 370 to 400 has successfully secured seat in the state. Veterinary colleges is of 398 is competitively and likely to fall within the cut-off range for OBC in the state Kota category..
