It is a vital exam . As per GATE there are two way one higher study and another is psu.

For Higher education it's very important to study daily and also make sure to have a formula written in chart or a copy. Study very care fully the syllabus.
Clear your doubt from YouTube or google , buy best books for GATE , study atlast 3 to 4 hours .


For PSU you just need 75 % up number, study your course subject, practical knowledge , study  2to 3 hourse daily, make sure practice more the general aptitude  . And also maths
