It entirely depends on the school authority and the school board to change your stream from PCB to PCM.

If the authority agrees, then you can do that very easily. However, if you never studied mathematics in 11th at all, then it's going to be a big problem to start with 12th syllabus only.

For that I would suggest, to take up class 11 mathematics chapters during the break between 11th and 12th class.

Yes, you can take PCM in 12th after PCB in 11th, but you have to talk to your school authorities about the same, if your current school/board doesn't fulfill your wishes, change your school/board.

Also remember if you're changing your stream, you have to do more hard work, to make up for your lost one year.

This is a precious time, if you're not comfortable with your subject, just change it, and just find a stream which makes you happy from inside, that is the only thing that matters.

But in some boards if you have filled up a form about stream selection before class 11th to opt math as a paper in class XII you must have to study it and pass in class 11th in that case you might have to repeat class 11 with the streams of your choice and that would be the best decision if you really wish to change your stream otherwise it might hamper your 12th result which are very vital for your future.
