The UGC commission has decided to conduct semester exams to all the final year students. And all the 1st,2nd,3rd year students will be promoted on the basis of internal marks but till there is no official confirmation from the JNTUH.

So as you said you are in 1st year,you might be in your 2nd semester. when JNTUH promotes the students, you will only pass the 2nd semester subjects only . Your backlog subjects in 1st year remains same and they will conduct exams of supplementary in coming academic year.
