Hello,
The precise eyesight range for marine engineers should be between +2.5 to -2.5. An individual cannot be color blind and free from all diseases.
Corrective lenses are permitted but for deck
department vision shoukd be 6/6 in better eye and 6/9 in other eye.
Also, one has to  qualify for tests like Oral Health, Musculoskeletal system, Digestive, respiratory, nervous, genitourinary, Cardiovascular systems.

Some of the top marine engineering offering colleges in India are
  • IIT Bombay
  • IIT Kharagpur
  • NIT Rourkela
  • Andhra University College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam
  • CV Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar
