Don't worry if you didn't appear for JEE Mains this year. You can apply for the same next year until you satisfied the eligibility criteria. Start preparing for the exam, be through with the basics and then read NCERT Textbooks and solve previous year question papers. This will boost your confidence and you will perform better in the entrance exam.

Overall JEE mains gives you 3 chances in consecutive years whether you appear for JEE mains in those years or not.

First chance is when you are appearing in 12th board exam. Second one in next year third one next to next year. Only these three no matter you appear in them or not.
