I belong to BC category of tamilnadu. how to select the category for neet? I dont belong to non creamy layer of OBC.Should i have to select general category or OBC category?

Hi Aravinth,

I understand that you belong to BC category of Tamil Nadu. If you choose OBC category in NEET then you have to show the OBC certificate at the time of counselling process. So, to clear your doubts just understand that If the income of your parents exceeds the 8 LPA limit then you belong to the Creamy layer of OBC and if the income is below the 8 LPA limit then you belong to non-creamy layer of OBC.

The difference is that the creamy layer OBC are not eligible for any reservation benefits while the non-creamy layer has the option of taking reservation benefits but you have to show the OBC certificate for taking the advantage. If you don't belong to non-creamy layer OBC then fill the category as general. For further information, you can visit the website.
