CSIR NET is conducted for awarding Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for the eligibility of Professorship in subjects - Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences. On the other hand, UGC NET is conducted for awarding Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for the eligibility of Professors in subjects like Arts, Music, regional language, foreign language, social studies, commerce, etc. You can appear for CSIR NET.
