Aryan, if you havent been able to prepare for 2 years, attemtpting to clear JEE Mains within a month or 2 is going to be a difficult situation. Ma'am thank you for the suggestion. But by drop I mean preparation for 8-9 months and then appear for jee the next year I.e.2021

You might try that too. But if you are still in the same area that you are in right now and still do not have access to accurate preparation, you will be wasting a whole academic year. So appearing for JEE Mains and then checking the possibilities make better sense.

Dear Aspirant,

If you do not have access to the coaching material or good study books or any other resource for preparation then you can not clear the JEE, so in that case taking the drop is not going to fruitful.

However, if you have access to good study material, then you can self prepare also and get a good rank and in that case taking a drop will be a good decision.
