I didn't do well in my this year CBSE improvement exam but got a decent percentile in jee mains

Hello

It all depends on you but I dont think that you should appear for JEE Mains again since dropping 2 years for Engineering isnt worth it. 

You should join a descent private college on the basics of your JEE Mains marks and since you crossed the threshold percentage i.e 60% required almost every where for placements, higher studies,etc. So you should join college and work on your skills since nobody would ask for your marks rather your skills you earn.
