Dear Candidate,

You can still pursue an M.A. in Psychology even if you did not major in Psychology during your undergraduate studies, but this depends on the admission criteria of the university you are applying for.

Some of the  universities in India that accept students from non-Psychology backgrounds for admission to M.A. Psychology  are - Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) , Ambedkar University Delhi – M.A. Psychology (Psychosocial Clinical Studies),  Christ University, Bengaluru – M.Sc. Psychology / M.A. Counselling Psychology,  University of Calcutta – M.A. Applied Psychology, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) – M.A. Psychology, Jamia Millia Islamia – M.A. Applied Psychology, Nalanda Open University – M.A. Psychology etc.

Hope it helps

All the Best
