Having a basic background is better than none. So if you have read the 11th Std Commerce or anything like that you may have a good foundation than others. But if you haven't done it, then also no problem. CA itself is a journey and to be a part of it you have to learn again. So you will get time to learn and suddenly you will find out that having basic background may have been helpful but it didn't affect your CA foundation studies.
