Hi

No, maths is not required in 12th/graduation to be eligible for MBA .

This is because,

To be eligible for MBA you just need to have graduation degree in any discipline it doesn't matter whether you have studied maths in 12th/graduation or not.

For example,

Cat eligibility criteria is provided below which is one of the most reputed entrance examination to get admission in MBA college and is also accepted by prestigious IIIMs.

CAT eligibility criteria says that:

To be eligible for CAT ,

  • you need a  Bachelor's/graduation degree

  • you must have got  at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA in your graduation . SC/ST/PH students need only at least 45 percentage in Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline to be eligible .

  • Candidates who are in the final year of their graduation are also eligible for CAT examination.

  • There is no age restriction to be  eligible

  • It is not mandatory to have work experience to be eligible

So, you can definitely do MBA it doesn't matter even if you have not studied in your 10 +2 ,you just need a bachelor's degree in any discipline

Hello aspirant

You must have basic maths knowledge for all further graduation or Post graduation programs. If you don't have maths in you xii STD, then after completing xii , you will have maths subject in your graduation through B com. You can pursue MBA after your graduation.

All MBA programs require some math, particularly on quantitative subjects such as Accounting, Economics and Finance. You’ll need it to do analysis in a number of other courses but it won't be intensive. So for all purposes, you have to be prepared to be in the thick of numbers and equations for three out of about 20 courses.

In this mathematics course, you will learn the fundamental business math skills needed to succeed in your MBA study. These math skills will also give you an edge in the workplace, enabling you to apply greater analytical skill to your decision making.

You will learn how to evaluate and manipulate the types of formulae that appear in an accounting syllabus, how to perform the calculus required to solve optimization problems in economics and how to apply the concept of geometric series to solving finance-related problems such as calculating compound interest payments.
