you should take your original certificate from your Institute and behalf of it you may submit a photocopy because you may need in future and sometimes they asked for original and that time they do not accept the copy. At that time first, they see your original document then they accept your copy. and most important thing you may know that you always keep original document try to submit copy it may help sometime.

That is really okay often College do that in order to keep a track of the record in the absence of any documents so like its reaalr okay none ask to provide you the original only xerox would do the work this is fine and food luck so do not worry!!
