Since CBSE was conducting the JEE Mains till now, the number of attempts were 3 for any candidates.
From next year onwards, JEE Mains will be conducted twice a year by National Testing Agency (NTA) and they haven't notified as to how many attempts a candidates can have.
We would like to inform you that you are eligible to sit for the two JEE Main exams to be held in January and April in 2019.
And, for the JEE Advanced you will have 2 consecutive years attempts. If you apply for the upcoming year i.e. 2019 then you will have the other chance only in 2020 after which you will not be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced.
