Hello,
If you’re interested in becoming a Chemistry teacher, here’s the general pathway you can follow in India:
First, complete a Bachelor’s degree with Chemistry as a main subject (B.Sc. Chemistry). After that, you should pursue a B.Ed. degree if you want to teach in schools (especially Classes 6–12). For government school jobs, you will also need to clear teaching eligibility exams like CTET or your State TET.
If you want to teach at the senior secondary level (11th–12th) or in colleges, completing an M.Sc. in Chemistry is highly recommended. For college lecturer positions, you may need to clear UGC NET after your post-graduation.
You can also start by giving private tuition or working in coaching institutes to gain experience. If you tell me your current qualification, I can guide you more specifically.
Hope it helps!
