I failed in Mathematics which was my 6th subject in class 12 CBSE, can I seat for compartment exam ?

Dear aspirant,
As per your query if you failed in 1 or 2 subject not more then that out of 6 then you can give compartment exam.
Prepare well and secure good marks  as you can appear for it.

I failed only in math.
Should I seat for compartment exam or improvement exam?

Improvement exams are for students who have passed but are not satisfied with their marks and are willing to take the exams again.
