If in your mail from NTA there is button to remove the image discrepancy then you can definitely remove the discrepancy even before the NEET Correction period and note that the images should be uploaded as per the specifications prescribed by NTA in the information bulletin, also the specifications are enlisted below :-
-->> Passport size photograph (10-200 Kb in JPG format) with name and Daye of photograph on it, preferably with white background and face should be clearly visible
-->> Signature (4-30 Kb in JPG Format) with black ink on white paper,
-->> Class 10th certificate and category certificate(50-300 Kb in PDF Format),
-->> Left-Hand Thumb impression with black ink on white paper (10-200 Kb in JPG format) and
-->> Postcard size photograph (4"*6")(10-200 Kb in JPG Format).
