But, as per previous trends it is found very difficult for you to get a seat in any NIT/IIITs since they offer a higher cutoff.

You haven't mentioned your home state, and the branch you want to choose. Analysing the previous year data, you have very low chances of getting into IIITs and NITs. Don't worry, you can still get many good private colleges with this percentile.
