As a GITAM alumni(20122016), when I had written GAT test, I scored 79 marks and I missed both ECE and Mechanical at both Vizag and Hyderabadbranches. Anyway I was interested in opting Computers, luckily I got seat in computers that too only 10 seats were left. Coming to our juniors, the college had increased the number of the seats for all the branches by 4 times. And some of my juniors didn't even attempt GAT, still they got into GITAM.
