Hi dear,

Congrats for getting 144 score in JEE Mains. You should try for any state NIT first during counselling. You may get seat there may be not.The admission and allocation of seats is done through JoSSA for various state government , NIT's , IIIT's and GFIT's and it depend on rank.

As there is high demand of Computer Science and IT courses among the student , therefore the Computer science seats are filled first by top rankers. So to get the seat in Computer science your marks should be above 160-170 and rank should be below 10k. You should also try for private colleges giving admission on basis of JEE mains.

Hope this helps
