You have a decent score in Amrita Entrance Test. Amrita allocates rank in two categories outside state and home state(Kerela,Tamil Nadu and Karnataka). Generally, for outside state candidate the closing rank for all branches is around 8000 while for home state candidate it is 20000. Last year closing rank for Amrita ,Coimbatore for Aerospace Engineering is as follows(only Coimbatore has aerospace engineering):-

• Aerospace Engineering - 5374(Outside state) 19892(Outside state)

If you belong to home state you have good chances of being shortlisted and if you belong to outside state you have very less chance.

According to the recent cutoffs the open rank to get into the aerospace engineering is 5374 and the closed rank is 19892. So you got your rank below the closed rank, so you can surely apply for counselling and get into your desired stream.
