With 280 marks in NEET UG and EWS category, getting a seat in government medical or dental colleges is quite difficult due to high cutoffs. However, you may get a BDS or BHMS seat in private colleges or through management quota. State counseling in some low-cutoff states might offer limited chances. Keep an eye on mop-up and stray vacancy rounds for better opportunities.

With 280 marks in NEET UG and belonging to the EWS category, you are eligible to participate in both All India and State quota counselling. Although it’s difficult to get an MBBS seat in government colleges at this score, you still have a fair chance of securing admission in private medical or dental colleges, especially for BDS or courses like BHMS, BAMS, and BPT. Many private colleges have lower cut-offs, and being in the EWS category may offer you some additional advantage. Make sure to register for counselling on time and fill in as many college options as possible to increase your chances.
