GATE exam is conducted annually by IITs for admissions to various IITs, NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and other colleges that take admission through GATE. It is also used for recruitment by PSUs. 

As for your question, with the score that you have and the fact that you are a general category aspirant, you won't be able to get admission in old IITs or good NITs. You should try for lower ranke NITs like Sikkim, Meghalaya, etc.
