as you have not specified any college in which you are interested to take admission in , however the basic eligibility criteria for the same course is candidate must have passed their 10+2 from recognized board and candidate must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50 percent marks in their 10+2.

For BCA the candidates who wish to apply for this course  must pass 10+2 with minimum of 50% from a recognised educational board.

Assuming you only got 42% in 12th , you won't be able to apply for BCA because you don't fit in the eligibility criteria ,
