Considering you having home state quota .
There are 4 south nit:
#nit warangal ,nit trichy, nit suratkal and nit calicut .
Now as per last year cutoff even considering you as home state condidate you cannot apply for mechanical branch in nit warangal because according to last year the closing cutoff for mechanical branch in warangal  is 2868.
U can apply for nit suratkal as according to last year cutoff for mechanical engineering was 40082 in second special round for one seat .
But for other state mechanical engineering branch ends up in 1999 rank.
U cannot apply in nit trichy as its closing cutoff was 1290 for mechanical branch .
U can apply for mechanical engineering in nit calicut
As closing cutoff for other state category goes down to 20553.

According to last year cut offs trends ; you shall get Mechanical engineering in the following  nits from your category rank :

Nit Trichy

Nit Surat

Nit raipur

Nit Silchar 

Nit kurukshetra

Nit goa 

Nit Durgapur 

Nit Jaipur 

Nit Srinagar

And 2-3 more depending upon your state .

So you should look for that specific college in which you wants to go.
