ADMISSION CRITERIA

For B.Tech admission, students are shortlisted on the basis of marks secured in Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam (AEEE) conducted by the Amrita University.

Admission to BA & MA in Communication and PG Diploma in Journalism (PGDJ) is done on the basis of CAP TEST followed by GD/PI.

Selection to M.Tech is done on the basis of GATE score or AGET conducted by the university.

Admission to MBA course is based on a performance of the candidates in KMAT/CAT/MAT/XAT/GRE/GMAT/CMAT followed by an Interview.

AMRITA university has three campuses each in Coimbatore,Banglore and Amritapuri.Admissions for three campuses are done via aeee.With 4800 rank you might not get cse in Coimbatore campus, considering you are not from Tamil Nadu.You have fair chance of getting other branches in Coimbatore.For more information checkout followimg link:
