With the percentile of 63.8282 from obc category it is a bit difficult to get into NIT. You might get  an NIT with low ranking and not your required department that too if the competition is less .You worked hard to score this percentile but you need to do  more hardwork to get good percentile.You have another chance of attempting  JEE MAIN exam. Attempt it well without any discouragement of this percentile. Keep extra hardwork on the topics which you are weak. Present there is a lot of competition ,you are not the one who is competing there are many.So keeping this in mind work really hard.You will get into NIT or selected to JEE Advanced.And coming to your fathers occupation they will not consider any parents background for selecting into NIT or IIT. After you get into NIT or IIT then they will consider the occupation or annual income for tution fee. Start working HARD from now, for the exam in april.
