The minimum rank required to get admission is the cutoff of CUSAT CAT 2019 as released by Cochin University of Science and Technology. Candidates will be required to meet CUSAT CAT 2019 cutoff to get admission in the institute and B.Tech programmes offered by it.

For those who will not meet CUSAT CAT cutoff, 2019 will have fewer chances of admission in comparison to those who will have more or equivalent ranks. The authorities will determine the cutoff of CUSAT CAT 2019 using various influential factors due to which it will vary for each category and course. 

Now coming back to your question, the rank of 6566 if you belong to a general category then it would be difficult to convert. However, you can get other branches with that rank. For more details on the university cutoff, do check out this link:
