I got 72percentile in jee main paper 2 am I eligible for jee advance

Hi nikhat,

the ranking of both the exams combined is not yet released. So nothing can be said for sure. I will give you a general calculation of how many percentile you might expect to qualify for keeping advanced.

Jee has already made it clear that 2,24,000 students (category wise) shall be allowed to appear in JEE Advanced 2019. Please note percentiles vary for different categories.  I am giving you a general example.  Now this year it is said somewhere around 9.65 lakh enrolled for jee. Let's consider 10 lakh for convenience. Now 2.24 lakh is 22.4% of the total crowd that means you need to be at least 78%ile to qualify.  Now if we split the seats according to categories the percentile goes even higher. But this is all a rough calculation and you should wait for the official figures to turn up to give you a clear idea of the cutoff percentile.
